Who We Are
MiddleHouse Events, LLC is committed to the non-profit sector and specializes in fundraising, donor cultivation and volunteer appreciation events.
For non-profit organizations with limited resources such as time, money and human capital, MiddleHouse Events serves as a creative extension of staff. We manage all of the details, so that the organization can focus on the donors.
Our partnership with MiddleHouse Sound, Inc and strong network of vendors allows us to solicit discounts and in-kind donations on behalf of the non-profit organization and pass those savings directly to them.
Our art extends beyond the creative and well-branded look and feel of an event to include fundraising strategy, logistics and effective budgeting tools. And when the event is over, we provide thorough reports and a follow-up plan, so that development teams can promptly report back to Executive teams, Board Members and organization shareholders about the event's success.
Erin Griffith, President & Owner
In 2008, Erin Griffith established MiddleHouse Events, LLC — an event planning company that combined her event planning expertise with a passion for the non-profit sector. She specializes in events that dynamically express an organization's mission, demonstrate good stewardship of resources, and ultimately strengthen relationships with its supporters. Her work - across many venues and events - has helped raise millions of dollars for a wide variety of charitable causes. Erin is a resourceful, proactive and thoughtful planner who believes the best way to support her clients is to provide them with a stress-free event in which they are free to interact with their guests.
Coming from a family of event producers, Erin entered the event industry at a young age. Her summer months and vacation days were devoted to supporting the family business. Before leaving home to pursue a degree, Erin had organized AV needs for over 600 breakout sessions for a 2,000 person 3-day corporate conference, fulfilled a gluten-free performance rider for musical artist, Shawn Colvin and purchased over 300 cups of coffee for the production team she assisted. Early on, she learned what makes a good event great and the network of people involved in making it happen.
After receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Richmond, Erin moved to Boston to further build her career in event management and non-profit development. As the Event Coordinator for the Anthony Spinazzola Foundation and Special Events Manager for Citizen Schools, her roles expanded beyond event logistics to include individual and corporate giving strategy, communication and management. Through her studies at Northeastern University's Meeting and Event Management Certificate Program, Erin widened her industry associations in the Greater Boston area to better serve her clients.
As the President of MiddleHouse Events, Erin brings a wealth of experience and strong network of professionals from all areas of the events industry. She is a member of the International Special Events Society and the Future Chefs Advisory Council.
